Alia Linz

I’m an American photographer who fell in love with the Netherlands and never left. My work begins with people — their faces, their stories, the small unguarded moments that say more than the staged ones.

Curiosity drives me. I want to know others, to tell the stories of regular people from around the world — because we all may have a story worth telling. That is the energy behind Linz Perspectief Fotografie, the company that, like me, also went Dutch.

I work on location, from my base in Dordrecht. Sometimes a landscape becomes the subject; mostly the landscape is the room a person walks through.
