Blazing Sunset Through De Pier

Fiery sunset light pours between the colossal support columns beneath the Scheveningen Pier, where a distant sailboat glides past on the North Sea. Reflected flame dances across the rippled water and wet sand, broken only by the dark verticals of the pilings and a weathered access ladder. Resting gulls punctuate the foreground. This vertical composition, made along the Den Haag coast, turns pier architecture into a cathedral of light, silhouette, and burning colour.
