Golden Hour Light Durmitor Mountain Ridge Montenegro

First-light gold rakes across the broad limestone ridge of the Durmitor massif in northern Montenegro, picking out the orange flank of the central peak against deeper-shadowed flanks on either side. A high alpine plateau drops away below, with bare karst broken by patches of grass and stone. Lavender-pink stratus stretches across the dawn sky. The wide panorama captures the whole sweep from foreground scree to the distant Žabljak basin.
