Tulip rows in white and burgundy
Rows of white, crimson and deep burgundy tulips fill this spring scene near Halfweg in the Dutch flower-bulb district between Amsterdam and Haarlem. Shot in April 2024 with the Nikon Z 9 and MC 105mm macro, the image captures the dramatic colour contrast of freshly opened tulip varieties against lush green stems. The Dutch bulb fields around Lisse produce millions of tulip bulbs annually, and the brief flowering season draws visitors from across Europe.
