Albanian Alps Alpenglow Above Theth Valley
Warm last light rakes the jagged limestone summits of the Albanian Alps — the Prokletije, or Accursed Mountains — high above the Theth valley in northern Albania. Clouds drift across the ridgeline and catch the pink glow of the setting sun while mist threads between the rocky spurs below. Photographed at 70mm to compress the rugged face into a towering wall of rock and light, the image captures the raw, remote grandeur of one of Europe's last great wilderness ranges.
