A large pendant trumpet flower of Brugmansia (angel's trumpet) hangs in pale yellow-green against a dark background in a tropical greenhouse in Amsterdam. The ruffled, paper-thin petals catch light along their curves, revealing subtle olive and cream gradations. Shot in square format in May 2026 with the Nikon Z 9 and MC 105mm macro, the image isolates this toxic Andean shrub from its lush greenhouse surroundings. All parts of Brugmansia are hallucinogenic and potentially fatal in overdose.
